About Me

My photo
I am a 27 year old married mother of a beautiful, curly headed toddler named Easton and precious (and precocious) puppy named Ritzy. I have 3 blogs. The first blog is our family blog. Enjoy being nosey. Ha! The second blog is for the journey we have embarked on for our puppy. At almost 5 years old, our sweet Ritzy was diagnosed with calcium oxalate bladder stones. He had surgery to remove the stones. This blog is to document (and help others) our journey in saving Ritzy so he gets the long and healthy life he deserves. The third blog is for my "professional" life. It references my lovely Etsy store and all of the loveliness that inspires me on the wonderful world of Etsy

Slinky, slinky, everyone loves a slinky....

I finally have found a minute to update this thing! We have been so busy this past week visiting friends, enjoying the outdoors and playing with the big E. He has a new trick now. He rolls over from his back to his belly. He has been rolling over from his belly to his back for months now, and we have been working with him on rolling the other way and now we can't stop him. He is rolling all over the house and rolling while on his changing table! Easton also loves when you hold him upright and drop a toy in front of him because he likes to then bend down and pick up the toy. Once he does that, he turns and looks at you with a big grin, he loves feeling like a big boy! Ryan is getting excited and can't wait for Easton's next big milestones, he now is working with Easton on crawling and walking - oh my! Easton gets a HUGE kick out of Ryan and I putting him into crawling position and starts giggling up a storm while we rock him back and forth on all fours. What a silly babe! He'll be cruisin' in no time! :-)

Last week we went to one of our favorite restaurants - Mangiamos! Of course Easton had to be dressed to the nines - look at him, a total prepster from head to toe!

This past Saturday we were at my parent's house and we engaged in our favorite past time - playing with E-toe! ;-) Grampy turned Easton into what daddy called, a "baby slinky", Easton thought it was a riot!

Hope everyone has a blessed week! Enjoy the 4th of July holiday all!

Box Full 'O Giggles....

Easton was a hoot today, as always. We were playing on the floor tonight and this new toy had him giggling up a storm! I wanted to share these videos!

Also, the love between Ritzy and Easton is growing stronger and stronger every day. They are truly best buddies. Easton loves to pet Ritzy and Ritzy loves to give E kisses and is very patient when Easton decides to pull his hair and try to eat it. I took some pictures tonight of our two sons on the deck.

Mmm he's a little heart breaker!

Ritzy got groomed today! It's his summer cut, doesn't he look beautiful!?

Easton resting on Ritzy. This happens alot, they love snuggling together. Ryan and I are raising first class cuddlers!

Time flies when you're having fun!

Today, June 17th, Ryan and I are celebrating our dating anniversary - 8 years together. 8 years sounds like such a long time and it makes me laugh because it doesn't feel like we've been together for almost a decade. Time certainly flies when you're having fun.

We have a picture above our fireplace that was taken when we first became engaged. Ryan and I were on the sofa looking at that picture the other night and underneath it, on our mantle is a wedding photo and then a maternity photo of myself and Ryan and then there is a picture of Easton on the coffee table where our feet were resting. When looking at the picture of us as a newly engaged couple, it didn't even seem like we were looking at ourselves. So much has happened in 8 years. I kept looking around at those photographs of the various stages in our relationship and felt so proud of how close and committed we have continue to be, the life we are building, the things we have accomplished, the family we have begun.

Life is so delicious.

I have been having fun looking at old pictures....and now you have to look at them too. So sorry, my blog and I can do what I want to.... ;-)

Dating

Engaged

Married

Pregnant....

Parents

From dating to parents in 8 years, they went by in a blink....

Moving on........Hope everyone had a nice Father's Day, what a gorgeous and sunny day it was! We had a really great day and I do have some pictures to share. Funny though, I got one lousey snapshot of Easton and I on Mother's Day and Ryan thinks he deserves a whole "session" (ha!), I am sure our neighbors got a kick out of us! (No judging now, my dad may be a photographer, but I am not!)

And lastly, the "piece de resistance" if you will....Adventures in Solids....

What? Are you sure I have something on my face?

Mom! Seriously! Put down the camera and feed me! Keep it comin'!

You're feeing me, but why the camera still?

Is the camera really necessary?

What? I made a mess!?

That was gooooooood!

Big boys, they don't cry-aye-aye....

Easton had his 5 month appointment last week! He is doing great! Here are his current stats:

17 lbs. 3 oz. (60th percentile)
27 1/4" (90th percentile)
I forgot the measurement of his head but it is in the 55th percentile.

He is growing like a weed! He’s our little chunkster and it looks like he is going to be tall like his daddy! Ryan is pleased because he thinks my whole side of the family are midgets! Ha! Easton was a trooper for his shots. Ryan stayed with him, I had to leave, I can’t handle it. I heard him scream while I was in the waiting room and even that made me tear up. But after his shots he was a happy camper, he didn’t make even the smallest fuss, what a toughie! Oh and we started rice cereal last week. Easton can’t get enough of it, he already opens his mouth wide and leans in for the spoon. What a fun little adventure we are embarking on now, the wonderful world of solids!

I will update the blog with some new pictures sometime this week.

Summer Lovin', Having a Blast....

Easton is going to be 5 months tomorrow. We cannot believe it. I know I say it all the time but, boy does time fly! Easton is such a joy, we couldn't have asked for a better baby boy! Lately he has become quite a wiggle worm - especially when eating! It's hilarious, he wiggles all over the place! And, just this past week Easton has started petting Ritzy! It is precious. Ritzy comes over to Easton and Easton will hold out his hand and will "pet" Ritzy's fur by swipping his hand back and forth on Ritzy, and he smiles while doing it. He and Ritzy are becoming best buds, it is so fun to see their relationship develop! Tongues are another one of Easton's fascinations. He has always gotten a kick out of watching us stick out our tongues and wiggle them around and then he would mimick us. But now his tongue is always out and always moving - I have to catch some pictures of it. It is awfully cute!
Here are some pictures from yesterday, us enjoying the beautiful summer day!
