About Me

My photo
I am a 27 year old married mother of a beautiful, curly headed toddler named Easton and precious (and precocious) puppy named Ritzy. I have 3 blogs. The first blog is our family blog. Enjoy being nosey. Ha! The second blog is for the journey we have embarked on for our puppy. At almost 5 years old, our sweet Ritzy was diagnosed with calcium oxalate bladder stones. He had surgery to remove the stones. This blog is to document (and help others) our journey in saving Ritzy so he gets the long and healthy life he deserves. The third blog is for my "professional" life. It references my lovely Etsy store and all of the loveliness that inspires me on the wonderful world of Etsy

All he wants to do is, all he wants to do is dance!

This weekend we went to downtown Holland to enjoy some of the Christmas festivities they had going on and then we enjoyed a meal at New Holland Brewery. Easton loved dancing after dinner with our friend's kids, Emily and Haleigh!

Tractor

Easton has a new obsession, daddy's tractor. Last Saturday Ryan was cleaning up the yard in preparation for the winter season and when he mowed the lawn, Easton stared out the window yelling, “Tractor! Tractor!” so, before the tractor was put away for the season daddy took Easton for a ride (I have a video of that somewhere that I might post) and then Easton wanted to get on by himself….you know, being a big boy and all!

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! We had a lot of fun! We started out by heading to our church's TNT Candy Explosion where people from the church park their cars and open their decorated trunks (and the people, too, were "decorated" or in costume, it was cute! A lot of fun themes) and they would pass out candy. There was two petting zoos, face painting, balloon animals, it was a lot of fun! Easton had a blast!

After that we had my parent's over and they "manned the door" at our house while Ryan and I took Easton and Ritzy trick-or-treating (THANK YOU MOM AND DAD!). Easton and Ritzy both LOVED trick-or-treating. We only expected to go to a few houses, we ended up taking them thruogh the whole neighborhood, they could not get enough of it! Easton said would do his little knock on the door and everyone would "oooo" and "ahhh" over the two of them dressed up (Easton as a 102 Dalmation and Ritzy as a hot dog) and would give Easton extra candy and Ritzy a treat (which he can't have, but I pocketed them for my parent's dog anyway, its the thought that counts!). Easton was very kind and used his manners, saying Thank you to everyone. They both thought they were just the berries that night, it was a hoot!

I have a lot of pictures and some cute videos that I will post later, I wanted to get something up quickly. I will add the extra pictures and videos in the next couple of days....

Pumpkin Patch Shananegans!

I have been so bad about updating lately! I need to keep up on this! Life gets so busy at times, doesn't it!?

Lately we have been enjoying the fall season. I love fall, it is my favorite season, so I have been trying to get Easton out there to savor every second of it with me!

Last Sunday my parents took us to Schwalier's Farm which is a fantastic place out off of 9 Mile and Alpine. Ryan and I took Easton there last year and we had a blast! We had a blast again this year!

Bockey taught him a naughty trick, he loved teasing the chickens with his finger!

Fun at the Farm!

Ryan wasn't able to go with us to Schwalier's Farm, so last Wednesday, since it was a nice evening, Ryan took us to Post Family Farm where more pumpkin and farm fun was to be had!

Growing up....

Holy cow, our baby boy is turning into a little man on us over night. His mannerisms and interests and his vocabulary - it is all maturing and growing so fast! We cannot believe the stuff Easton says and does!
He still loves dancing and he LOVES to sing, he will break out in song all throughout the day - it is so sweet. And boy does he repeat everything you say! We have to watch ourselves! I stubbed my toe and shouted, "Shoot!" the other day (thank goodness that is all I said!) and right after that Easton exclaimed, "Shoot!" and says it a lot. Whoops! He also enjoys the word "Toot" which always makes him erupt in a fit of giggles. He repeats things he hears in person and on tv. A show he was watching the other day started singing "Old McDonald" and he just broke out into song with him and we hadn't really been practicing that song with him, it was a blast to see and hear!
Time flies by, I know I say it all the time, but it truly does and we are really enjoying every second with a special little man.

Ee-aye-Ee-aye-Oh.

Random Facts:

Easton loves to sing. He sings all the time.

Easton loves to show you where your body parts are, especially your eyes. It's quite lovely, really, it is. You'll be, say, reading a book with him and he will turn around and allofasudden poke you in the eye while repeating, "Eyes, eyes". He also enjoys sticking his finger UP your nose while pointing out your nose, we're trying to nip that in the bud very quickly. He used to just poke your nose, now he picks it. How kind of him. :-)

Easton's new favorite word (well, one of them) is Ritzy. Ritzy is a hard name to say for a little guy but Easton loves it. Poor Ritzy, Easton calls for him all.the.time. If Easton cannot see Ritzy he goes around the house lifting up blankets and looking behind furniture calling for Ritzy. It really is so sweet, they are best buddies.

Pictures from the park a couple of weeks ago (I am behind, I know)

He didn't have fun at all as you can see.

Easton yesterday. He is posing, hence the "sheepish" grin on his face, he so did this on purpose.

Who knew an empty diaper box could be such fun!?
