About Me

My photo
I am a 27 year old married mother of a beautiful, curly headed toddler named Easton and precious (and precocious) puppy named Ritzy. I have 3 blogs. The first blog is our family blog. Enjoy being nosey. Ha! The second blog is for the journey we have embarked on for our puppy. At almost 5 years old, our sweet Ritzy was diagnosed with calcium oxalate bladder stones. He had surgery to remove the stones. This blog is to document (and help others) our journey in saving Ritzy so he gets the long and healthy life he deserves. The third blog is for my "professional" life. It references my lovely Etsy store and all of the loveliness that inspires me on the wonderful world of Etsy

Christmas Happenings #1 - 1st Annual Loucks Ugly Sweater Christmas Party

I have been really bad at updating lately! I am so sorry! The Christmas holiday season is always so busy and also with taking care of my family, working and starting up my new business, I have been a busy girl! The next couple of days I will be updating with our Christmas happenings from this season.

First, I will give you some pics from the 1st Annual Loucks Ugly Sweater Christmas Party that we hosted for a group of our friends, we had a blast! :-) There are tons of pics, I will share just a few funny ones :-)

Ryan's "treasure" from the White Elephant Gift Exchange....we have named him Paco.

Amanda got new Pez dispensers - Hello Kitty - I was jealous. Check out her shoulder pads and her fiance's ugly shirt, how did he even get invited?! ;-P

Showing off the fugly sweaters! Woo hoo!

Easton thinking he's hot stuff, even with a face full of peanut butter. He was having so much fun!

Mr. Josh loading our child up on copious amounts of cheese. Easton loves Mr. Josh.

But Easton does not love Mr. Josh as much as he loves Ms. Jessica. Holy cow he loves her!

Can't you tell?

The Smallegan and Place boys in all of their fugly sweaterness!

Our little hambone being the life of the party!

VERY excited for company!

The Elegant Elle

This has nothing to do with our "family" per se, but I wanted to let all of our readers know that I have opened an Etsy shop called The Elegant Elle, you can find it here: http://theelegantelle.etsy.com

I have more items that will be going up in the next couple of weeks including headbands and young girl hair accessories (although the ones already listed also look so classy on a little lady!). Please let me know if you're interested in a custom order! Oh, and, if you're a local friend or family member, let me know what you'd like and you can purchase without using Etsy and by pass all of the shipping! Thank you!

All he wants to do is, all he wants to do is dance!

This weekend we went to downtown Holland to enjoy some of the Christmas festivities they had going on and then we enjoyed a meal at New Holland Brewery. Easton loved dancing after dinner with our friend's kids, Emily and Haleigh!

Tractor

Easton has a new obsession, daddy's tractor. Last Saturday Ryan was cleaning up the yard in preparation for the winter season and when he mowed the lawn, Easton stared out the window yelling, “Tractor! Tractor!” so, before the tractor was put away for the season daddy took Easton for a ride (I have a video of that somewhere that I might post) and then Easton wanted to get on by himself….you know, being a big boy and all!

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! We had a lot of fun! We started out by heading to our church's TNT Candy Explosion where people from the church park their cars and open their decorated trunks (and the people, too, were "decorated" or in costume, it was cute! A lot of fun themes) and they would pass out candy. There was two petting zoos, face painting, balloon animals, it was a lot of fun! Easton had a blast!

After that we had my parent's over and they "manned the door" at our house while Ryan and I took Easton and Ritzy trick-or-treating (THANK YOU MOM AND DAD!). Easton and Ritzy both LOVED trick-or-treating. We only expected to go to a few houses, we ended up taking them thruogh the whole neighborhood, they could not get enough of it! Easton said would do his little knock on the door and everyone would "oooo" and "ahhh" over the two of them dressed up (Easton as a 102 Dalmation and Ritzy as a hot dog) and would give Easton extra candy and Ritzy a treat (which he can't have, but I pocketed them for my parent's dog anyway, its the thought that counts!). Easton was very kind and used his manners, saying Thank you to everyone. They both thought they were just the berries that night, it was a hoot!

I have a lot of pictures and some cute videos that I will post later, I wanted to get something up quickly. I will add the extra pictures and videos in the next couple of days....

Mommy and her doggies! (Isn't he the cutest dalmation EVER!?)

My two little lover boys and their pumpkin!

Happy Halloween we say!

So cute, I am so blessed!

Isn't he a doll!?

Pumpkin Patch Shananegans!

I have been so bad about updating lately! I need to keep up on this! Life gets so busy at times, doesn't it!?

Lately we have been enjoying the fall season. I love fall, it is my favorite season, so I have been trying to get Easton out there to savor every second of it with me!

Last Sunday my parents took us to Schwalier's Farm which is a fantastic place out off of 9 Mile and Alpine. Ryan and I took Easton there last year and we had a blast! We had a blast again this year!

Easton and Bockey (as Easton calls him) after their cow bucket ride!

Spying Momom through the fence!

Bockey taught him a naughty trick, he loved teasing the chickens with his finger!

Fun at the Farm!

Ryan wasn't able to go with us to Schwalier's Farm, so last Wednesday, since it was a nice evening, Ryan took us to Post Family Farm where more pumpkin and farm fun was to be had!
