I am so behind!

I am so behind on updating this blog! Oh my goodness! I am so sorry!

I think I am at Easter, right? We had a fabulous Easter! Easton LOVED his Easter basket, but he especially loved searching for the eggs! We did an egg hunt at our house in the morning and Easter basket and then went to church and after church went to my folks' house for dinner followed by 3 more egg hunts for Easton! He was so spoiled with fun! I have some great videos of the Easter egg hunts - those will come later, it is late - but I wanted to at least post some pictures!

Easter basket fun!

Tom foolery abounds!

We've been having so much fun lately (well, we always try to have fun actually!)

Every weekend we seem to have plans with friends, special plans for Easton, birthday parties, play dates - it has been a whirlwind. We're really blessed to have a lot of great friends. What's fun is, not all of our friends have kids, but Easton is always welcome to join the party - and you bet he loves that!

A couple of weekends ago we got together with a group of our great friends at my brother's house for a "jammie" party. Kolby broke out the DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) and we partied it up old school! It was good for a lot of laughs! Easton couldn't wait to get dancing on the DDR! He kept watching Kolby and Joel while they battled it out (they are wicked good!)




Then Easton finally got his turn!

And two weeks ago, I took Easton to Frederick Meijer Gardens along with my friend Kellye and her little boys Carson and Dylan to see the butterflies and play in the children's garden!

Creating a Gentleman

It has always been important to Ryan and I to teach EASTON to be a gentleman. It is our belief that you need to start those teaches right off the bat, it is never too early to start.

So yesterday, March 13th, we took Easton to The Civic Theater to see his first play, Jemima Puddle Duck. I was so proud of Ryan, it was all his idea, he heard about the play and was so excited for us to take Easton.

We got all dressed up Saturday morning, got Easton in his black courdory suit jacket and made out way to the Theater. The play was fantastic. Easton enjoyed it so much. He giggled and smiled and clapped the whole time. It was lovely, the stage was designed so that some of the audience could actually sit ON the stage and be in the thick of things, which was very cool, we ended up on the stage!!!!

Afterwards Easton enjoyed playing with some of the cast, especially the little 13 year old boy who played Pudgy, the chubby Foxhound. :-)

After the play, Ryan and I took Easton to The Green Well for lunch.

Fun was had by all, it was one of those days we'll never forget. Very special.

A friend of mine introduced me to the "Life List". She has been keeping a list for years of things she wants to do, learn, accomplish. One of the numbers on her "Life List" is "Doing grand gestures for my children". That touched me so much and inspired me deeply. I am beginning my own "Life List" and am including "Doing grand gestures for my children" and I think this day would definitely count as a grand gesture, it was so special....

The Maiden Voyage

Easton was gifted with a quad for his 2nd birthday from Mimi and Boppy (among many other things, so spoiled is he, but he deserves it!) :-)

Today was such a gorgeous day, we decided to bring the quad out for its maiden voyage :-)

2 year photo shoot....Isn't he beautiful? Such a pretty face on this boy....pretty face, pretty personality, pretty soul, pretty heart, pretty smart - he's the complete package! ;-)

Tubing Adventure

On February 4th, Ryan and my parents and I, took Easton to Pando Snow Tubing! He LOVED it! What fun! He giggled with excitement! He is our little thrill seeker! He even made some new friends in 2 little 6 year old girls who were kind enough to play with him and let him go down on tube with them. So sweet! Fun was had by all! :-)

2 year old check up

Easton had his 2 year well child check up yesterday. It is amazing how big he is! The numbers made me go "Whoa!!!!"

Weight: 29 lbs. 6 oz. (90th percentile)
Height: 37" long (97th percentile)

He's a big kid!

He only had to get one shot (a HIB shot because he had missed one due to a shortage months back) and he did amazing. He only winces at the pain, what a strong boy!

We cannot believe how old he is and how old he acts. He is definitely not a baby anymore and is a little boy - and a smart one at that!

Easton knows how to spell his name, he knows the whole ABCs, he can count to 15 and he has a larger vocabulary than more adults I know! The doctor asked if he speaks in 2 word sentences and I said, "Not really" and he looked concerned. I told him, "2 word sentences, that was so 6 months ago, how about 5+ word sentences! This boy is quite the conversationalist!" and our doctor laughed. And Easton is really quite the talker! Who would have guessed, right? *wink wink*

Honestly, Easton could not be sweeter, smarter, more polite or smarter than he is. We've been blessed with one AMAZING little man! <3
