About Me

My photo
I am a 27 year old married mother of a beautiful, curly headed toddler named Easton and precious (and precocious) puppy named Ritzy. I have 3 blogs. The first blog is our family blog. Enjoy being nosey. Ha! The second blog is for the journey we have embarked on for our puppy. At almost 5 years old, our sweet Ritzy was diagnosed with calcium oxalate bladder stones. He had surgery to remove the stones. This blog is to document (and help others) our journey in saving Ritzy so he gets the long and healthy life he deserves. The third blog is for my "professional" life. It references my lovely Etsy store and all of the loveliness that inspires me on the wonderful world of Etsy

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Big!

Today we had Easton's 7 month appointment and he tipped the scales at 19 lbs. 14 ounces and is 29 1/4" inches long! BIIIIIIIG BOY! Ryan and I thought that Easton would weigh in at over 20 lbs., but we were close! :-)
~
His percentiles are:
Weight: 75%
Length: 96%
Head Circumference: 75%
~

Our doctor's office said that there is a vaccine shortage right now, so Easton only had 3 shots and an oral vaccine. He did really well during the shots, I had to walk away, but Ryan stayed with him and he just whined a bit, didn't scream, didn't bawl, he is a strong boy!

Right now Easton's new trick is rocking on all fours. Below is a video. We get him into crawling position and he sits and rocks. A few times we have seen him scoot on his knees and then he gets excited and falls over. It will only be a matter of time before he starts crawling! Oh boy! Right now Easton gets around by rolling everywhere, it is amazing how fast that kid can go already just by rolling!!!!

Easton is also quite the gabber. I suppose he comes by it honestly. Ryan knows how to make a short story long and well, me, I know how to talk, talk, talk your ear off (I come by it honestly too, have you ever met my mom and her sisters?!?!) I, enclose again, for your viewing pleasure, another video of Easton chatting away. This was a short chat, it normally goes on much longer, he holds "conversations" with us. He makes so many new sounds and says things like "Mama", "Dada" and "Baba"....but, we don't think he knows what he's saying just yet, he is just imitating us. Although, he does tend to say, "Ma-ma-ma-ma-ma" when he is upset, maybe he is calling for me? I like to think so! ;-)

Meal times are VERY popular in our house. Easton shrieks and gets very excited when he sees his baby food come out or a bottle being prepared. The boy has an appetite on him! We feed him all organic food and his favorites so far are butternut squash & corn; wild blueberry & pear; and, sweet potatoes. I think bananas and the mix of chicken, squash and corn are runners up in the "favorites" category! Although Easton has his favorite baby foods, he has never refused anything we have given him, he's a trooper!

Today I decided that I wanted to do something different with Easton, so I packed both Easton and Ritzy up and we took a walk to the park. Easton loved it! He giggled as we swung back and forth and squealed with delight as we zoomed down the slide. Ritzy, of course, whined the whole time because he wanted in on the fun, he hated just watching. Maybe next time! :-) I took some pictures of E's first park trip, but they didn't turn out well - I know my dad will cringe when he sees these, as I did not take into account at all where the sun was, the lighting is awful, the shadows are really bad, I just wanted to snap a few quickie shots, but they are REALLY bad, you can see how much fun he was having though! That's all that matters....

I'll post anyway....

Crawling is just around the corner...it will happen fast!

That is too funny. Bryce is 19 lbs, 3 oz...28 1/2 inches! How far are they apart--three months? I have a big baby. sigh.

Anyway, I love the park pictures. He looks like he is having a blast!
