About Me

My photo
I am a 27 year old married mother of a beautiful, curly headed toddler named Easton and precious (and precocious) puppy named Ritzy. I have 3 blogs. The first blog is our family blog. Enjoy being nosey. Ha! The second blog is for the journey we have embarked on for our puppy. At almost 5 years old, our sweet Ritzy was diagnosed with calcium oxalate bladder stones. He had surgery to remove the stones. This blog is to document (and help others) our journey in saving Ritzy so he gets the long and healthy life he deserves. The third blog is for my "professional" life. It references my lovely Etsy store and all of the loveliness that inspires me on the wonderful world of Etsy

Easton's BIG Surprise!!!!

Easton kept telling us that he dreams of riding on a REAL train.... This child eats, sleeps, BREATHES trains! And his favorite movie, favorite soundtrack is all The Polar Express. Obviously, he can't ride The Polar Express, but we were bound and determine to make his dream of riding a REAL train, come true!

That's when we found the Coopersville Marne Railway! They do a Christmas Train every year, so we bought up tickets and the day of the ride we kept telling Easton we had a HUGE surprise in store for him, but first we wanted to bring him by a train for him to see and hear it up close and then we would go to his BIG surprise!

We waited on the platform for the train to arrive.  When it pulled up, we let Easton touch it, he heard it toot it's horn and then we told him it was time to go. He, of course, didn't want to.  So we asked if he wanted to ride it.  To which he exclaimed excitedly "YES!!!!" and that's when we SURPRISED him that his big surprise WAS getting to ride the train!

It was one of those moments that you never forget.  As a parent, making one of your child's dreams come true, it's a remarkable thing and we were so grateful to be able to provide this awesome experience for our little dude!!!!

Waiting for the train to arrive....

Easton's "genuine ticket to ride" (if you've seen the movie The Polar Express, you'll understand that line!)
