About Me

My photo
I am a 27 year old married mother of a beautiful, curly headed toddler named Easton and precious (and precocious) puppy named Ritzy. I have 3 blogs. The first blog is our family blog. Enjoy being nosey. Ha! The second blog is for the journey we have embarked on for our puppy. At almost 5 years old, our sweet Ritzy was diagnosed with calcium oxalate bladder stones. He had surgery to remove the stones. This blog is to document (and help others) our journey in saving Ritzy so he gets the long and healthy life he deserves. The third blog is for my "professional" life. It references my lovely Etsy store and all of the loveliness that inspires me on the wonderful world of Etsy

I know him! I know him! SANTA CLAUS!

After our dreadfully awful experience seeing Santa at Rivertown Mall last year (rude santa, rude "elves" and won't let you take your own pictures), we decided to go see Santa at Breton Village Mall. Oh man was that the best idea! Easton was absolutely enthralled with the train display first and foremost.  What a gorgeous, painstakingly detailed display.  We had such a blast watching all of the trains go around and around with Mimi and Boppy while waiting for Daddy to arrive.

Daddy finally arrived and Easton was still enchanted by the gorgeous train display.  As E was turning the corner watching a particular train, all of a sudden there was SANTA! Santa was watching the train display as well! When Easton saw Santa, he threw his hands in the air and shook with glee and exclaimed, "Santa! It's Santa!" He was absolutely thrilled to see the big man! Santa was then kind enough to spend a half hour walking around the display with Easton, talking about their favorite trains and exchanging light hearted banter.

After looking at the trains, Santa asked Easton if he'd like to sit on his lap and tell him what he'd like for Christmas, to which Easton proclaimed, "Yes!" and did what we have now "dubbed", the "Santa Shuffle" while following Santa to his big, red, chair.  Santa even let Easton hold and ring the beautiful sleigh bells that he had with him.

Santa was LOVELY, absolutely LOVELY. I don't think I have ever seen or met a lovelier Santa.  He looked so nice and he was so kind and talkative, just what you imagine Santa to truly be. It was such a magical moment for Easton.  They shared some jokes and talked about the North Pole.  Then Easton let Santa know that he wanted, "The Polar Express Train, a ringing bell (from Santa's sleigh) and moon sand."  Easton has actually been practicing his list of those exact three things since LONG before Halloween (I kid you not!).  He so desperately wanted the Polar Express Train and the bell from Santa's sleigh (and OF COURSE he got everything he asked for - and then some!)  But it was so sweet watching the exchange and Easton's eyes light up spending time with the big man.  It was such a fantastic Santa experience and one I am SO GLAD my dad caught all of video, we all were welling up with tears because the moment was so incredibly MAGICAL and enchanting for Easton.  One we hope he'll remember forever.

(On a side note, Easton loved the trains so much, we went back the next week to see them again and we will be going to see them one more time before they are taken down on January 11 - that's how cool they are!)

Easton with his hero, the big man himself....Santa. <3  (And OF COURSE Ritzy had to see Santa too! He actually thoroughly enjoyed himself as well and was walking around on his hind legs to watch the train display with Easton!) <3

Telling Santa he's been a good boy :-)

Watching trains with Boppy! Easton was obsessed with the trains, we went back two more times to see them! What an amazing display!!!!

Best buds!
